Xavier Suñol has worked the Barcelona City Council since the 1980s, where he has held various responsibilities, especially in the areas of culture, personal service management and strategic planning. These include the Personal Services Department of the Nou Barris District and the Heritage Department of the Barcelona Institute of Culture. Since the end of 2007, he has pursued his professional activity in the field of tourism management and planning. Currently he is the Director of Tourism, Events and Creative Industries at Barcelona City Council.
