Patrick Torrent has a degree in Law from the UNED and in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Barcelona. He has also studied Marketing Management at ESADE and in Information Systems Management Master Associates.
He was the Deputy Director General of the Catalonia Tourism Consortium (2005-2009) and has been the Deputy General Manager of the Catalan Tourism Board since 2010. He is currently the Executive Manager.
He actively participated in the creation of the Catalan Tourism Board and in defining the Strategic Tourism Plans of Catalonia (2005-2010 and 2013-2016). He has also coordinated two Tourism Marketing Plans for Catalonia (2013-2016 and 2018-2022).
The Permanent Secretary of the Fundación de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in 2010 and a patron from 2009 to 2011, he was an associate professor at different universities and organised various symposia, seminars and workshops specialised in tourism and tourist marketing.
Since October 2015, he has presided over NECSTouR, representing Catalonia in Brussels, bringing together 37 regions and 36 associated organisations.
