He has worked at the Barcelona Stock Exchange, and at Price Waterhouse as an auditor. Since 1994 he has been attached to the management of a group of companies dedicated to the construction sector, from then on he became mayor in 2007 and until 2014, where he worked as an advisor. From 2007 to 2015 he was Mayor of Vilassar de Mar.
He has held positions in the Barcelona Provincial Council: third vice president, member of the Governing Board, member of the Executive Commission, Delegate Deputy for Local Cooperation, Delegate President of the Territory and Sustainability area, Member of the Information Commission on Finance, Resources Interns and New Technologies. In the Generalitat de Catalunya, since 2015 he has been Secretary of Local Administrations and since 2018 Secretary of Business and Competitiveness attached to the Ministry of Business and Knowledge.
