Ignacio de las Cuevas | CoE in Tourism Innovation

Ignacio has more than two decades of hands-on international experience across five continents tackling tourism in a multidisciplinary and holistic approach. Over the years, Ignacio has developed a particular interest for international development cooperation, world-class hospitality, diplomacy, vocational training and skills development, sustainability and circularity applied to tourism, food waste prevention and more recently, on methodologies that foster innovation and lead to more efficient results.
Ignacio holds a PhD and a Master’s in Development Studies from the University of Geneva, with a focus on global ecology and sustainable development as well as a Bachelor’s on Tourism Management. He has volunteered for UNWTO in Bhutan and Turkey and is a trainer certified by GSTC.
