The new era of data for transforming sustainable tourism strategies

New Big Data technologies not only help us to discover needs and make decisions in the short term, but they also predict behaviors and define adapted long-term strategies for better management of available resources.
The concentration and seasonality of tourism requires adapted solutions that are based on real information, so that the “unique truth of the collected data”, its management and its availability to external actors, are key to the success of the defined strategies.

In this session Orange, will show how some of its most representative clients have been able to define their strategies in terms of thinning out tourist density and promoting the off-season using business intelligence tools based on the collection and processing of data on mobility and tourist behaviour, and provide advice and support for their transformation and data-based road map.

Sitges City Council will accompany Orange, sharing the results and conclusions with the most impact and their latest partnership in this context.

Speakers:

Oscar Ayuso,
Senior Account Executive,
