“Towards new models of tourism. Technological solutions aimed at breaking up concentrations of tourists and promoting off-season tourism“ is the slogan of the 2020 edition.
The eighth edition of the congress will focus on issues related to new tourism models according to demand, the management of mass spaces and positive examples of breaking up concentrations of tourists and promoting off-season tourism through technology for the purpose of offering quality, experiential, sustainable, responsible and more balanced tourism in both rural and urban areas through technological solutions that develop these concepts.
Along these lines, we will also have a paralell session in Room 1 (1st floor) about “Technologies applied in rural areas: adding value to the tourist product” . This session is part of the European project CHARM (Charming villages) and it will explain how technologies could help little villages to develop sustainable tourism projects to attract more visitiors and help the local economy.
